That's right folks! We are so excited to be having a baby girl! It was so fun to see her little profile and body movements--she's a squirrly little one.

She even gave us a "thumbs up" to let us know she's doing well and is excited to grace us with her presence.

Willie's first thought was imagining how fun it will be to see her running around with all her little girl cousins. The first thought that came to my mind was - "I don't have any girl names!" For some reason I feel more pressure naming a baby girl than I would a boy. Maybe because I remember all my sisters wishing their names were something more pretty, exotic or sophisticated (that's right Sarah, I still remember your "Victoria" days, and Emily, weren't you "Dianne" or something like that?). In contrast, as long as you don't name a boy something really nerdy that illicits teasing, they're pretty much okay with whatever. Gratefully, what I've come to realize is that we don't have to have a list of 10 names that we love, we just need to find one. And we have a few months to figure that out.
I can't wait to meet her!
CONGRATS! Glad every thing is going well.
ReplyDeleteYAY for girl cousins! (Come on, Willie, the longer it takes for you to have a boy, the longer you have to wait to play catch...) I'm really excited for you guys and I would tell you my girl names but then I wouldn't have any for future reference...
