Is it legal to have this much fun? I surely don't know.

I'm finally getting around to updating about our last month of adventures. On May 22, we jumped on a plane and headed to the sunny beaches of San Diego for a few days of fun in the sun with the Naegle side of the fam. Dad and Mary rented a few condos on Mission Beach, and we enjoyed some nice down-time with the family. I'm specific with the date because that day also happened to be our First Anniversary, and it was great to be able to wind down and enjoy a nice long (3 mile) stroll down the boardwalk together followed by a superb steak and seafood dinner outside looking over the pier. We sometimes joke (and marvel) about how we never get sick of each other, but it really does amaze me how I still get anxious to spend any amount of time with him, even just to talk and hang out. Warning: kissy pictures were taken and are included in the following slide show (we usually try to keep that display to a minimum, but how could I resist when I just adore this man I'm married too?). As you can tell from the pics, we had a blast. I even ventured for some boogie boarding and beach volleyball at 7 1/2 months prego.

It was the first time that we've all been able to get together for a long time, and it was especially fun to see our East coast family (Eric, Maere, Max, and Zella, as well as Dan & Janet) It's also exciting to see the clan grow. Thanks Dad and Mary for a fabulous time, I hope a week with all your children (and now grandchildren) didn't add too many grays to your heads.

The day after we got home, we headed for Cheyenne for Ellie's graduation. Lethe was in town, as well as Trav, Kristin and the twins, and it was great to catch up with them and get some more baby time with those cute girls.

Can I just say how proud we are of this girl?! It was so fun to get to chat with her about her goals and dreams - she has the whole world in front of her and we're excited to see her continue to blossom into the amazing woman she is. If I had half the brains and spiritual maturity that she has when I was her age, maybe I wouldn't have needed so many "love taps" to the noggin given to combat my stubborness, provided by a loving Heavenly Father. I'm tellin' ya -- this girl is going places, and she's gonna turn heads doin' it.
