No more teacher's dirty looks...um, wait.

I start this post knowing full well of the risks involved. It's dangerous territory whenever I attempt to shine a spotlight on my man, but this time I don't care. Last Friday he reluctantly walked across the floor of the Huntsman Center, dressed in cap and gown, and listened as his name was read over the loud speaker--W.D. Harnish (but sounded like Amish), a tribute to his late Grandpa. He even smiled for the staged pose as he was handed a "fake diploma," but I knew he was just itching for all the shenanigans to be over.

Well thanks hon, for letting us celebrate your sacrifice and hard work. I thought I would keep my composure until I saw you afterwards in a crowded hallway. My emotions surfaced as the past two years flashed before me as I made my way towards you--more than full-time credit loads, working roughly 30 hours/week and late into the night, 3 AM baby feedings and diaper changes, and playing baby tag as you would rush home so that I could make it to class. I could go on about stresses we've experienced over the past couple years, but they pale in comparison to the laughter and love we have shared. When I finally made it to your arms, all I could muster was "I'm so proud of you."

I think you were a bit taken aback by my emotion (surprise surprise), but I could tell you knew what was running through my mind--the sacrifice is still fresh.

And now on to less emotion and vulnerability (I can't stay in that arena for too long), we enjoyed the family visit and support by his parents and Ellie.

And Olivia sure didn't mind some special grandparent time-

Including her first trip to the ZOO!
Although she preferred watching all the little kids
to the sleepy animals.

So now that we're both gradumacated, what's next?
Well first, a much-anticipated graduation gift to ourselves--

Mayan Ruins, Tulum, Mexico pictures

Una semana relajando en MEXICO!

And after chillin' on the beach?

Strap on your boots, cowgirls and boys--WYOMING LAW here we come.
That's right, Laramie.
