Donde esta mi Pooka?

Last week we left our Punkie Bear with Grandma Marilyn for seven days and headed to MEXICO!

What?!
Ok, ok, we're irresponsible parents, but it's clear that Olivia got exceptional care because now when I wipe her boogie nose a little rough or let her cry herself to sleep she looks at me with those eyes and is clearly wondering where that super sweet Grandma went! It was difficult to leave her behind, but thanks to our dear friend Mr. SKYPE we were able to talk jibberish and make funny faces at her while she at her breakfast. It brought peace of mind to see her simply content to be doted on by Grandma. And Grandpa Randy's bumblebee finger was all the rage!

So as difficult as it was, we somehow managed to grit our teeth and get through those seven long days:

SIMPLY ROUGH!
But it was all worth it for the reception we received upon our return home:

She warmed up to us like we had never left!
What a relief! My mom said she had left me with my Grandma when I was Livvy's age and I wouldn't come to her when she got back. Phew! Well thank you Pooka, for being so playful and fun that Mommy did not want to put you to bed!
And there are a few new things we've noticed she has picked up while we were away:
  1. She's a whiz with the crawl. Not quite ready to join the Rosie Derby, but the robot/weiner-dog crawl has been replaced with improved coordination, speed and agility.
  2. We have ourselves a little vampiress. Yes, a FANG has emerged.
  3. She has learned to clap! Okay, so maybe "clap" is stretching it - it looks more like limp seal fins pointing downward. :)
  4. She prefers the shaggy look and REFUSES to keep any sort of clip or elastic in her hair.
  5. The new excited smile is all about the tongue! She also lets that thing hang and then pants while she crawls. Evidence of our little pup:
Well Livvy, you were clearly missed.
Let's just say Mommy and Daddy had to scope out the beaches of Mexico to make sure all was safe to bring you along next time!

P.S. - More Mexico to come...
