My News Man

I can't let Willie out blog me! And I have to include a picture every time I blog, so here is one from last April. After my last final of my first year of law school, Willie took me to an Eisley concert. I am now a fan, it was amazing.
Update - We've been busy lately, we're both in school and working. Willie works at KSL as a "studio technician," he basically runs the camera and teleprompter for the evening news. It's nice to have such a well informed husband (he usually knows what the weather will be like which helps me know how to dress in the morning). It's been cool to learn how broadcast journalism works, and he looks forward to possibly getting into the writing and production end of the news while going through graduate school.
A few weeks ago I was watching while he was at work, and as the camera zoomed slowly in on the anchor, it jiggled abrubtly. Yep, that was Willie--his foot somehow found a cord on the floor. Other than that, he's a natural. His boss and Carol Mikita seem to really like him. As for me, I'm working as a research assistant for one of my professors. It's a nice flexible schedule and I can work from home. Bonus.
We played doubles tennis with Nate and Cally for 2 hours today. They brought their baby Owen and he just chilled on the sidelines during the match. It's nice to get out and do something active, even if I am the worst one on the court. Despite my groans whenever I sent the ball flying out of bounds, we still enjoyed ourselves. My serve is definitely my strongest point--the volleyball swing does come in handy.
Although life get's a little hectic with our schedules and commute, it's so nice to come home at the end of a long day and just unwind together. The longer I am with Willie, the more reasons I find to love him. It's nice how that works out.
