This time of year finds us swamped with finals and work, but we were happy to get us some Christmas Spirit! I couldn't look at the screen of my laptop any longer, so I headed to the bargain store and bought us a dinky Christmas tree (on clearance!).
Will came home from work, we put in Josh Groban (thanks Steph), and had our own little merry Christmas decorating session. Unfortunately the boost of good cheer and energy didn't extend into the kitchen--we had hot dogs for dinner (What? Willie was in the mood for hot dogs).
I've been feeling a little backwards lately, the other morning I was trying to save time and put my shirt on with my vest at the same time--my plan backfired as I put the whole thing on the wrong way. That's what I get for trying to be tricky. Great story, eh? Almost as good as my husband grating his thumb, I know. Things just get crazy around here.
So Thanksgiving was nice--we enjoyed our time in Cheyenne. I especially enjoyed some quality time in with the family, late night girl talks, Ben's wrestling match, Ellie's choir concert, "getting to know you" Thanksgiving games, volleyball, and watching Ben follow Willie around wherever he went(with the this display of sheer manliness, it's no wonder why).
I love Christmas time!
I'm so glad y'all found you some Christmas. I'm not able to put our tree up this year as we are moving in a week or so. Boo! Loved seeing you!!!
ReplyDeleteOh yes! Gotta love gettin' some Christmas! ps- i like your tree.
ReplyDeleteYay!! I love the tree! It is officially Christmas when you share a hotdog dinner with the one you love. ...and the Josh Groban Christmas CD helps. :)
ReplyDeleteOh Liz....look at you putting your shirt on backwards! I wish we had a Christmas Tree. I'm kind of jealous.
