Now is a pretty great place to be.

Okay, time for some blogging. Sending out my thoughts into the faceless void of the internet makes me a bit queasy; it would be much easier for me if you and I could sit and chat face to face. This is why my posts usually center around pictures, reporting on the latest adventure or baby news.

Yet here I sit, watching the news and waiting for it to be over so my sweets can get home from work. I finished finals last week and now I have all this extra time on my hands working just one job. Instead of cramming my extra minutes with textbook reading, I've had a little more time to just sit back and think. So many times in the past I've found myself thinking, "Oh, life will be so great when..." or "I'll be happy or satisfied when..." -- fill in the blank. Yet this time as I sat and reflected upon my current situation, it was so cool to realize how complete and fulfilling life is NOW. Of course I look forward to finishing law school, getting my husband through school, getting through the third trimester without too much discomfort, getting a nursery completed, finally meeting our little girl, and completing a million other little goals in life. But amidst the rush of getting wherever we think we need to be, it's so nice to pause and realize that where we are now is a pretty great place.

Okay, so I can't resist...a visual is needed. This morning I went to the indoor swimming pool to get some laps in before work. When I arrived, there was only one other person in the pool. Within 10 minutes the old people started flooding the pool, and before I knew it I was in the middle of an intense water aerobics class full of senior citizens. They were swarming the pool and I didn't have much choice but to just tread out my remaining 20 minutes in the deep end. Looking back, I should have joined. I think I've found my pregnant lady workout--great.
