Two weeks have passed since this little angel has graced us with her presence, and as joyful as it has been, I'm finding that mommy-hood is definitely tiring and time consuming. So my apologies for not getting around to sharing any news or pictures before now, but take comfort knowing there are plenty of pictures in the following slide show (thanks to Steph, Mary and Amanda, this little girl has some great shots of her first few days of life).
As for our little family, we're enjoying some time off to get acquainted with our little Miss Livvy. These are a few things we've learned about her so far:
- She likes her meals often and on demand, but is courteous enough to mommy that she'll give her a good four hours of uninterrupted sleep each night.
- Based on her wide gummy grins as she sleeps, she has very amusing and funny dreams.
- She is up to the challenge to rival Dad in a smelly fart contest, and usually chooses to do so when Mom is right in between them.
- Olivia loves the warmth of pee running all over herself, especially when mom is the one changing her diaper (I know, I know, it would be much more interesting if she were a boy).
- She enjoys her baths, especially when a good scalp massage is included.
- She loves stretching to show off her nice long wingspan and long skinny legs, and then leaves her arms extended upwards as she naps.
- She's got a great scowl and furrowed brow, but is showing it less and less as the days go on.

- And my favorite - her "cheerio" look. When she opens her eyes wide and makes a perfect little cheerio "OH" with her mouth.

We look forward to some pretty amazing adventures with this little peanut, but for now her little gassy smiles and big cross-eyes are more than we could ask for.
yay liz!
